How do I store biomondi PLA straws?
Our products are made from natural materials and are designed to be degraded. They must therefore be stored carefully. Our products must be stored out of direct sunlight and below 30 ° C. We recommend not to keep large quantities in stock and not to store them on the shelves for more than 6 months.

How do I dispose of biomondi compostable products?
1. Composting:
If you have access to a composting facility, this is the best way to dispose of our compostable straws. Under the right conditions, they break down into natural compost within a few months.
2. Combustion:
Our straws are made from 100% natural and non-toxic plant starch. No toxic fumes are produced when burned. If your local waste disposal facility uses incineration, these straws are ideal.
3. Landfill composting and incineration:
These are by far the most preferred disposal methods for our straws. Even if our straws end up in a landfill, they are far less harmful to the environment than conventional oil-based straws. Oil-based plastics cause many serious environmental problems. On the one hand, toxic chemicals get into the soil and the groundwater. They also break down into toxic microplastics, which are extremely harmful when they enter the food chain. It is estimated that 30% of fish in the sea have microplastics in their intestines. Microplastics have been linked to cancer and other serious diseases in humans. Because our products are non-toxic and 100% herbal, they do not cause these problems.
